Thespian Play - February 4-6, 2010 (January 22, 2010)
This year's Thespian play is "The Diviners" by Jim Leonard, Jr. He was a professor at Hanover College, and the play was written with the support of the Indiana Arts Commission in 1980. The show later moved to Broadway. The story is set during the 1920s in a small fictional town in southern Indiana. A 17-year old boy has been gifted with an ability to search out water with the use of a divining rod after almost drowning as a small boy. This is his story of how his life touches the people in his town.
The dates are February 4-6 at 7 PM. Tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at the door.
The play is performed by an all Thespian cast headed by Colin Tully, Joe Mount, and Sophia Dollinger. The rest of the cast includes Dayne Gowan, Sierra Holland, Keith Craycroft, Amy Kleiman, Nicola Liss, Andrea McCarrel, Kevin Kryah, and Jay Aguirre.
